I so agree about the lower back pain. I've noticed that 5 days post-op, I don't feel any lower back pain. Before my surgery, it was my constant "friend". I also thought it was just somthing that came along with age. Never expected it to be gone like this!

my headaches are gone now that I am not taking 10-20 ibuprofen daily. yeah. hadn't noted too much back pain. my blood pressure is normal, but that may be because the kid is gone for the summer lol

Re: this is unbelievable!

I am glad you are doing so well. I didn't have the back pain, but after my surgery I noticed that I had been dealing with a LOT of pressure in my lower abdomen. I guess it came on so gradually that I didn't notice it until it was suddenly gone. There are so many good things that come with a hysterectomy. I don't have to get up and go to the bathroom several times a night now!!! YEAAAA!!!! Have a great day, everyone!

Re: this is unbelievable!

I have noticed the absence of back pain as well. My uterus was huge, so maybe it was pressing on some things.

Re: this is unbelievable!

I had my surgery the same day, July 7, took out EVERYTHING, plus had a bladder sling done. Now 8 days post-op. I cannot believe how GREAT I feel. I have had constant lower back pain for a couple of years now. That is 100% gone!! I have also had major osteo arthritis in my knees for several years. I've had two arthroscopic knee surgeries and last year a series of 6 shots in each knee. It occurred to me this morning...MY KNEES DON'T HURT. Ladies, NOTHING HURTS!!!! I have not had pain med since I left the hospital; no gas; no bleeding; no trouble with BMs. My energy level is amazing and I don't Hurt!!! I almost cried this morning just because I feel SO GOOD!!!!! I still have 5 weeks of disability left and I am so happy I will actually be able to be comfortable and have energy. I pray that everyone could have such a great recovery.
Lots of prayers and hugs going out to everyone coming up on their trip to the castle.

Re: this is unbelievable!

Ladies, I am right there with you. I had my surgery on the seventh as well and frankly I didn't know how BAD I was feeling until I started feeling good again.

I didn't want to do this, not one little bit, but I haven't felt this good in years.

I was having back pressure and searing pain in my hip that was constant. All gone.

I am a little sore after the surgery and once when I sneezed I thought my life was over, but other than that, I'm doing great. I'm so sorry for all of those systers who are not having as positive an experience. I wish I could help.
