stitches

I had the DiVinci Hyst almost 4 weeks ago and my stitches are still not dissolved. They ends are sticking out and I'm not sure if that's normal or not. Shouldn't they be gone by now?

I would check with the doctor and see what they say. I know it takes some people longer than others to heal.

5 years ago I had a RSO and laparoscopy. The stitches slowly came out over time--the last one was 3 months after. It was a little strange to say the least!

i really don't know the about the DiVinci procedure, but I had a LAVH and have 3 incisions in my belly. I saw the dr. yesterday (exactly 4 wks. post-op) and I still have the little threads hanging out from each incision. he told me that they will dissovle on their own, probably within the next 2 weeks. I also have internal stitches and he told me I would prob. see some threads fall out within the next few weeks whenever I went to the bathroom. don't know if that helps you or not, but it's just what I know!
