Has anyone noticed vaginal cuff stitches dissolving?

Had an old thread I guess.
Posting a new one now.

Has anyone noticed vaginal cuff stitches dissolving? I've had very short tan strands for a couple weeks now (on week 5 recovery) but can't claim they're a thread really.

This morning passed a little bright red blood, smaller clots and maybe a slightly longer dark thread. No pain, so was a surprise!

Just what have you all experienced? I did not over-do since school has been canceled 3 days due to cold.

Curious what to expect. Saw the Doc Monday and forgot to ask if I had stitches left!

I'm afraid I can't help with vaginal cuff stitches since I kept my cervix but I hope others will be along soon to share.

If you've not done so already, it may be an idea to check with your doctor about the bleeding and clots ~ if only to put your mind at rest.

Sending all good wishes!

Has anyone noticed vaginal cuff stitches dissolving?

I was warned by my Dr that it will happen around week 3. She said to expect yellowish/greenish discharge with chemical odor and some thread passing. She did not say anything about the blood/clots. I'm at 3 weeks and has not had any stitches passing yet. The stitches of vaginal cuff are absorbable by the body, but some of them will come out, so I presume that this is normal Has your Dr done an internal exam yet? You can always call the office and talk to the nurse for reassurance.
Hope this helps.
