4 weeks Post Op

OK..I am four weeks out and been recovering ok, but feel like my hormone shot is dwindling and my dr. didn't schedule me for another appt for 2 more weeks...Do I call him and tell him about my hormonal issues, or just suck it up and deal with them. Plus had to go to my primary today because having alot of coughing and feeling very yucky, thanks to my son bringing somekind of a virus or something into my house... I decided to go in and get on antibiotics so that no infection starts. Very confused right now because my body is so out of control...hormonally and chemically (since I had been on pain medication since May's first surgery where figured had to get hysterectomy...ended pain meds last week). Any advice? My husband is driving me crazy and all I want is for him to leave me alone and stop expecting me to be superwoman. Any advice or suggestions would help.
Thanks

Re: 4 weeks Post Op

Start a 30-minute walking routine - begin with 5 minutes, then gradually increase to 30-minute 'leisure' walk. It will do wonders - both physically and mentally/emotionally.

Exercise increases 'endorphine' which is the 'happy' hormone that increases our resistance to pain and improves our immune system...

Some husbands can be big burden during our recovery. I've had 5 major surgeries so far, my hubby is still not 'trained'. He's now staying with my 87-year-old Father-in-law more often than staying home with me. Let alone taking care of anything here... [Excpt when buying groceries and mowing yard bi-weekly - with 'my' money.]

If your husband is working and bringing home money, keep him.

I had a frying pan too

I do find that walking really helps to get you going. I feel so much more alive after a 30 min walk on my treadmill. I plug in my ipod and just listen to my kind of music and before I know it the 30 mins is up. If I have more time I will walk longer just to listen to my music.
