bowel problems

I have been having bad cramps for apprx 1 month.. I figured that it was time for my period. last one was 6/28/04 - 8/13/04*(apprx end date)..it was soooo long I cant remember what date it actually ended. I have been missing work due to these cramps. I took off from work 10/11 & 10/12..i was going in today, missing my pay(no pay for days off until surgery time)..Surgery is 10/22/04. This am i couldnt sleep & also couldnt breathe. i called the ambulance. ekg/chest x-ray done also.. found out that i have a lot of stool in my bowels..also gas build up made me feel that i couldnt breathe. they gave me a GI cocktail (this really helped my pain). prescribed some stool softeners, etc. states that i am going to need to my bowels to be cleared before hyster. dr also told me that he found info from my laparascopy that i had a couple years ago & the adhesions from prev c-sections that can cause these problems..when surgery time, i know that the dr's are going to repair/fix these adhesions. anyone ever had problms like this. The gas & pressure really scared me.

bowel problems

I haven't had the problems, but my daughter, who had C-section and abdominal surgery removing kidney and repairing liver after serious accident where she was pedestrian hit by truck....did.

The scar tissue strangulated and obstructed her bowel. She had symptoms much like yours, and passed out in a grocery store. Ambulance took her to hospital. They did emergency surgery to clear obstruction and remove scar tissue, but told her it could happen again.

DO take care of yourself. I'll be praying for you. I"m glad your surgery is soon....but I'll bet it doesn't feel soon enough just now.

Grace & peace,

Terry
