uterus costume?

I know this sounds really odd - but a Halloween costume party is coming up and I am trying to decide whether it would be practical to dress as a uterus/Fallopian tubes/ovaries. Kind of an official goodbye to my parts...

any great ideas? Or other costume ideas?

Re: uterus costume?

ummm,,,that kinda stuff is not really my cup of tea....but that doesnt mean those who you will be in company with will be ok with it. You need to do what works for you. Either way,,,have a great time.

Re: uterus costume?

I think that would be a riot! We got invited to a party, with work friends, but it does not feel right to party, and then still take a week off work... So we are not going, and are bummed about it!! If we went, I was going to be a patient - with a gown open in the back, and a big fake behind!! Dh was gonna be a DR.....

Have fun!

Re: uterus costume?

Hi uihc - you have an excellent imagination! It could be a really great way, as you say, to say goodbye! Lots of women on here have talked about having a goodbye party, so this puts a new slant on that! I'm sure it could be a comfortable/practical costume...maybe your could find some one piece pink pjs? You could find some sturdy wire to wrap with pink material for the tubes, and pink balloons for ovaries? I don't know what kind of group you are going to be with but you could come up with a sign that says goodbye, or some way of further commemorating this event for you. Let us know how it goes!

(One of my favorite costumes that I did was a Christmas tree...I even had lights, and had to stand close to plug ins all night so that I could have my lights plugged in....probobly not safe but it was really fun and everyone took time hanging out beside the Christmas tree! A friend of mine went a dust bunny, it was brilliant - she was grey with lots of long strands of yarn hanging off her, and she carried a duster around all night.)

Re: uterus costume?

OH! If you feel like going to the party, you should go! Everyone knows you can do some fun things before you actually GET the release REQUIRED to return to WORK! Just take it easy at the party! I'm sure they'd all be glad to see you and, if they're real friends, no one will think anything negative about you being there.
