Holy sex drive, Batman!!!

Hi ladies! I'm 2 weeks out from total hysto, and for the past week I have been REALLY wanting sex! OMG, what the heck? I had a dream last night involving Mike Rowe, that guy from the show Dirty Jobs!! What? Every night, and when I nap during the day, I have dreams about sex! I have NEVER had a sex drive. I'm one of those unlucky women who could care less about sex. My poor hubby. . But now, here I am unable to have sex, and I'm dying for it! I made the mistake of mentioning this to my hubby and he is all excited now and hopes it lasts! Lol!

I realize this is most likely due to fluctuating hormones (I started Estrace pills 2 weeks go). Has anybody else experienced this?? This is one aspect of healing that the docs don't tell you about!

I see this question allot I have also seen women post that they are years post-op and it is still there Remember, you were probably in pain, bleeding, exhausted, etc before and that may (in addition to hormones) be the reason...

I personally am the opposite - 3 weeks post-op and nothing yet - I couldn't get enough before. BF has been extremely patient and happy since outercourse was allowed.

Oh, I would be so happy if it stayed!! So would my hubby!

Yes, it drives you crazy, but you will get through it Started day two post op for me and its still there. Resist the urge, wait until you are healed and cleared. The waiting is difficult, but necessary.

Oh my goodness, I am right there with you! I am 13 wks post op and had a difficult time waiting for the all clear, but I didn't want to mess anything up with my recovery. I was apprehensive the first few times, but holy smokes is it ever great! I think that a lot is hormonal, but also not being in pain, being anemic, tired and bleeding every few weeks has been huge! I am loving this side of surgery and my hubby doesn't know what hit him after years of sporadic sex. Def wait til you get the all clear and just keep enjoying those dreams....

You know, now that I think about it, I used to feel this way sometimes when I was having my period! Yuck! I haven't had my periods for years thanks to POF (premature ovarian failure) at the age of 37. So for me, it's definitely hormones!

Speaking of which, has anybody heard of very low dose testosterone cream to help those of us with low sex drive? I've read a little about it, but the side effects scare me (acne, oily skin, facial hair)! I would love to feel sexy again, but not if I have a beard with zits! Lol! That's NOT hot!

If only there was Viagra for women!!
