Waterslide question -- how soon

I will be 8 weeks post-op at the time of a family get-together at an indoor waterpark. Does anyone know if waterslides will be a problem or should I just stick with the lazy river tubing? Thanks.

I don't know the answer to that question. I think the best person to ask is your doctor.

I would just stick to the lazy river. You never know how much water pressure will hit your tummy on the slides.

Good luck and have fun!

I would stick with the lazy river also. Sometimes the waterslides can be kinda bumpy. I don't think you would do any damage (what do I know, I am not a doctor), but I think you would be very sore from being bounced around alot and climbing all those steps to get up to the slide.
Of course check with your doctor just to make sure. Have fun!!!

Waterslide question -- how soon

Hi Cindy

I did a big waterpark when I was just over 3 months post-TVH (altho I did have a detour on the recovery road). I found myself feeling every little bump on the raft ride (so much so that I tried to use my arms as shock absorbers keeping my bottom from the impact)...

Soooo, if the potholes in the road bother your tummy, you may not be comfy on the rougher water rides. Be sure to check with your doc.

Thanks everyone for the info, I will check with my dr. but it's looking like I should just stick with the lazy river. It will be hard as I love waterslides. Oh well, beter safe than sorry.

s to all, you sisters are great!
