LAVH/BSO insomnia and ringing in ears

I had LAVH/BSO on 2/22 and for the past 2 1/2 weeks I have been having ringing in my ears. I also started 4 days ago with insomnia. I have not started taking any hormones as I am trying to ride it out taking OTC supplements.

Anyone else having these issues?

My mom found something that helped her but I can't remember what it is called. I have a call in to her and when I hear back I'll let you know what works for her.

I started to experience hot flashes accompanied by burning ears about 2 & 1/2 weeks after surgery. Also occasional headaches and joint/muscle pain. I attributed it all to surgical menopause, I'm not taking any hormones either, trying to tough it out and see what happens. From what I've read the symptoms can start several weeks after losing your ovaries because we store Estrogen in our fat cells, so it isn't always immediate. Insomnia is another menopause biggie, I get very little sleep from all my symptoms, you would think I would be exhausted, yet I am wide awake a lot. I'm know lots of others share the same symptoms as you and I.

Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you. My mom just got back to me today. She says she's been using something called Lipo-flavanoid plus for her tinnitis. She says she takes it once a day and she feels like it help a lot. I think it's a supplement.

She is also on HRT, but a low dose. Not sure if this makes a difference or not with her ears ringing.
