LAVH Going on 2 weeks post op .........new to site

Hello everyone, my name is Carrie and I had a hyst. Wow, I never thought I would but I always said I was going too. Well it happened Dec. 18 and so far I have good days and bad days. Two days after my surgery I headed back to the hospital to find out I had a kidney stone. I experienced so much vomiting during the first week of post op. I finally passed my stone about 3 days ago and that's when I started feeling better but today I hurt. I'm feeling a little nauseous too. I guess there will be set backs but for how long? I had a laparoscopy assisted vaginal hyst. Doctor removed my Fallopian tubes because I had cysts. He left only my ovaries which I'm thankful for. Anyone else experiencing or experienced just a blah feeling?

Hi Carrie, I am so sorry you went thru all that other sickness right after, but glad you are feeling better. I to have blah days but thankfully and even funnier my husband has been having the hot flashes, Guess he really is a part of me.

Bless your heart...kidney stones are horrendous. The kidney stones themselves can leave you achy and nauseated (even after they've passed -- or at least that has been my experience). Hoping you will have a better recovery now that you have passed the stone.

Wow- I'm still very low energy and kinda "blah" and I did not have kidney stones to contend with post-op!

So far, it seems that "two steps forward and one step back" with a few pauses along the way is how it works, take it as easy as you can, give yourself time to heal even if you don't love how long it takes.
