Extreme bloating after pelvic exam?

Has anyone experienced this? I went back to the doctor within the hour, and she was angry with me for coming back. I was hurting from the exam and then blew up like a woman over her due date. I'm not pregnant. It was crazy.

No tummy pains, no constipation, no gas.

That is really odd. Did the doctor have any idea what caused this?

Was the exam more painful that normal? Was your uterus or cervix tender? Are you about to start your period?

Since you are on this site, I'm guessing something is going on with your uterus, and I'm thinking the pelvic exam irritated it. I would take some ibuprofen and take things easy over the next few days, and contact your doctor if it doesn't go away.

Your doctor is there for you to answer any questions politely and make you feel like your concerns are valid and your questions have been answered to your satisfaction. Sounds like that didn't happen, have you thought about trying another gynecologist?

Did they use anything different that you could be having an allergic reaction too?
