So much to do before I go to the Castle tomorrow

I have so much laundry to do its crazy. I try to keep up with it but since I know I am going to be out for a while I am washing everything today, sheets, towels, bath rugs, and some how the clothes are piled up too. I steam cleaned carpets yesterday and organized the kitchen cabinets. I still need to pack all the kids clothes since the boys will be spending the night at my brothers and Ryleigh will be going to my inlaws. Wash floors, dust, clean windows, vacume pool .... How does that sound for a fun day. I guess at least it keeps my mind of things.

So much to do before I go to the Castle tomorrow

The night before my surgery I received a call from my sister-in-law, who asked if I was spending a quiet evening (I think she even said "meditating") in anticipation of my surgery. In truth, I was cleaning out a downstairs closet where I store luggage and other seldom used items. Like you, a cleaning frenzy came over me...I figure that it kept my mind busy, and since a cleaning compulsion seldom hits me, why fight it?

All the best to you today, tomorrow, and in the weeks to come. God bless!

It does sound like a busy day
At least you shouldn't have much time to fret.

Best wishes for your surgery tomorrow. I'll pray that all goes well for you.

I've been in a cleaning frenzy also. I know I won't get everything done I want but I want my house in order when I head to the castle on Sept. 7 to have a LAVH. I go back to work tomorrow (I work part-time) and am already worrying that the house will get messed up before the surgery. I have kids that are old enough to help out but they have busy schedules too and I just don't think my family gets it. The good news is that all the extra work keeps my mind off the surgery and recovery. Can you imagine a guy going into a cleaning frenzy before surgery? Not in my family!

Best wishes tomorrow.

It's funny how we all react to this. I have been cleaning like crazy too! My surgery is tomorrow morning. Cleaned out closet today and home office...vacuumed, still dusting....washing blankets, sheets, changing linens, even moved all the bedroom furniture this week for my room and my youngest daughter's room. Need to keep myself occupied or I'll go crazy from anxiety! I'm on liquid diet today...very hungary and Magnesium Citrate, although better than go-lytely, made my stomache nauseous...it hasn't hit yet, but I'm not straying far from the bathroom...LOL! Good Luck to you all...keep me in your prayers for tomorrow!

So much to do before I go to the Castle tomorrow

I found the days prior to surgery to be very similar to "nesting" before giving birth. Instead of a baby-I gave birth to my uterus.

Fear not...if it doesn't get done, it doesn't get done!

How are you feeling after your hysterectomy? Hope all went well and I hope to have a speedy recovery myself. I like to go, go ,go...not sit, sit, sit. I love to get out...this is going to be tough. Oh well, time to catch up on reading and tv.
