Re: Sleeping on my side???

Just had my LSH on 2/24... Wan't to sleep on side but can't.. I guess from what I am told the reason is because they do most of the pulling and Tugging and bring your uterus through the left side.. That is why it hurts so much.. :-) I am walking around when I can so my tail bone doesn't hurt. .

Re: Sleeping on my side???

I was trying to get on my side at the hospital!

When I got home, I'd roll myself to my side in my sleep, the pain would wake me up.

Figured out to lay down with a flat-ish pillow beside me, then roll over onto it. Heaven!

Re: Sleeping on my side???

I too am a side sleeper and had a melt down about a week after surgery. My hubby helped me roll over and propped me front and back with pillows and I finally fell asleep for a couple of hours. But, I was very sore when I woke up and went back to sleeping on my back with pillows under my knees.

Unlike several of you, I can now sleep on my left side (15 days post-op) but not my right! Seems like right side is all around much more tender than left with pulling/pinching sensations quicker to occur day or night.

Sleeping on my side???

I tried the couch last nite and it was wonderful!!!
I put my back against the L shape and put pillows under one side and between my legs. And I also didn't have to worry about DH trying to hold me at nite. He's such a snuggler when he's sleeping and doesnt realize he doing it...lol
I wish everyone a great recovery...
xoxo
