fibroids ??

Hi all. I am not sure if I have Fibroid tumors or not. Seem to have all the symptoms and the belly pressure and swelling is really getting to me. Any info would be appreciated as I'm getting nervous.

I wanted to know if this sounds the same. I have been having VERY heavy periods, every hour to change, lasting 8-9 days, 2 weeks later, same thing. I always had a little belly after 3 pregnancies, but now I look like i'm 5 months pregnant. That swelling has only been happening over the past few months and it seems to be getting worse by the day. The constant pressure and urination is driving me nuts!! My regular OB couldn't see me till August, I called in May. I went to a new doc, he did a biopsy in the office (boy that was not fun) and 2 ultrasounds, 1 vaginal and 1 pelvic. Won't know anything till tomorrow. ugh !! i am starting to freak so any help would be appreciated.

what do you all think, sounds like it ?

fibroids ??

The good news is that if it is fibroids, they can be managed and treated.

They're very, very rarely cancer. We all know that waiting is the hardest part, whether it's for test results or our surgery dates if that's the treatment we're opting for.

Please check back and let us know! We'll be thinking of you.

time will tell

Unfortunately only patience and waiting will tell you what is going on. And also the doc's opinion. Even ultrasounds don't always tell the whole picture.

But at least you have gone through a big part of the discovery process-so you will have a lot more information this week than you did last week.

And fibroids don't always need treatment, and they don't always need a hyster if they do need treatment. Take this time to find out all you can. I waited 2 years from the time I started having difficulty from the pressure from the fibroids until I had my hyster. That way I was sure of my decision and knew that waiting any longer wasn't going to make it go away.

Good luck tomorrow
