13 weeks post hysterectomy BSO bladder /pelvic pain

Well, I continue to have bladder/pelvic pain when I urinate and pain when I have a bowel movement...low/mid back pain continues as well. CT Scan revealed no kidney stones, but suggested a Lymphocele on left side and surgical adhesions on right side. Had another urinalysis done last week with no blood in urine this time, but still a high WBC count in urine. Have not been given anything just in case it is another UTI. Very frustrated. The Dr. who did hysterectomy is willing to call and order in to my local hospital to have the Lymphocele drained, but I am not sure I want to put myself through it. Lol Sounds painful. I am just a mess and very unhappy.

I am so sorry to hear about everything you have been going through. Is the surgery fine needle aspiration…? As for the adhesions are they thinking that this could be contributing to the pain you are also experiencing with having BMs?

Perhaps try drinking cranberry juice along with eating cranberries, apples, blueberries and tons of water. Probiotics might provide that extra nudge also. In the hopes of helping your bowels, drink tons of water. Try eating items that are fiber-rich like oatmeal, whole grain cereals or breads, or even apples, pears, plums. Incorporating foods that have magnesium might help also such as fish, nuts, dark leafy greens, avocados, bananas and dark chocolate.

One day at a time sweetie. I know that what the mind’s eye might have had as recovery tends to alter as any road bumps occur. Weigh the pros and cons along with quality of life. Talk things over with your doctor some more.

I do hope that you
Please let us know how you are doing!
