8 days post hysterectomy: Burning pain on right side

I was searching the Internet to find out if this pain is normal and came across this site, wish I'd found it sooner!

I'm 8 days post op and since day one have had a burning pain on my right side, it feels like someone is holding an iron on my skin. It only happens if I'm standing or moving about, and eases after resting for about five mins. I'm feeling great other than that. Is this normal?

I don't know if it's normal or not but I have the same thing. It's been like that since I got out of surgery. That spot on my right side has caused the most pain throughout. I'm 16 days post op.
I'm hoping it goes away soon for both of us.

Thanks for the reply, that's the only major pain I'm suffering now, it's driving me mad!
Had my stitches out this morning and asked about it while I was there, apparently it is normal. Hope it doesn't hang about too long for either of us.

It's the only pain I have too. Very frustrating. Though I'm still super exhausted after doing something as simple as making dinner, but I'm sure in time that will change. I'm not sure which is worse yet, the fatigue or the pain.
