dVH/RALH: Upcoming hysterectomy 3/5: Granny Panties?!

9 days until my operation. I had my first pre op shopping spree. The body pillow I understand but I am laughing at the oversized granny panties. I tried them on over my usual undies as soon as I got home and couldn't help but giggle. I never wore special undies after my C-section. I can't help but wonder why they are crucial; and just how long I might be sporting this new bloated belly look.

I really liked the mesh, disposable panties that I wore in the hospital and brought a few pairs home with me. To be honest, I never went the granny panty route.... my 6 inch incision is vertical (starts at my belly button and goes down) and I found bikini panties most comfortable. They went under my incision, not on... I had my surgery in the Summer so I spent most days either in a nightshirt of sundresses for when I went outside. I too stole a pack of the mesh undies and wore them the first week. After that I went to hipster style. They sat below my belly laprascopic incisions and I found them more comfy. Good luck on your surgery. Sounds like you're very well prepared 😊

I like that the soft nylon covers my incisions protecting them. From the binder and the pants I'm wearing. The incisions are covered thanks to the panties high waist. Plus my usual smaller pairs are too snug at the moment. I just went up one size.
