TAH Rectum Pain/Spasm Increases with gas and by the end of day.

Hi All,

Has anyone seen there doctor about rectal pain when you have gas or bowel movement?

I read some older post from other folks in 2002 who said it was spasms and read some other stuff with fancy words. The spasm post really seem to be what I'm going through. It hurts so bad and at times it goes away and at others it stays. The pain is so intense that you will try to sit on one cheek then the other and be very careful when trying to sit, less pain when laying down.. Gas just makes it worse.. and It seems to worsen as the day goes on.

I'm planning to make the doctor appointment but I was praying that someone out there could give me some advice about what is going on.

Lovelygwen . Hi syster; I had the same symptoms; it went into my 2nd week of recovery. I am now into my 3rd week; it is so much bettet . You will get there .

Thanks for your response. I had these problems after surgery also, the catch is i'm at 12 weeks now. They cleared up for a while and then we had our first sex after clearance at 11 weeks and it started again.

Not a happy camper again..... and I'm having an increase in gas. So i'm trying to figure that out too...

Please let me know if you have any thoughts on this.
