Abalation failed any more torture or can I finally have the Hyster?

Hello ladies I hope you can help me.......let me start by saying In Feb 09 I had a Novasure abalation with D&C and lap exploritory. It has been 2 years and I am worse than when I went in. 2 weeks after all of that I bled and have been bleeding every month(sometimes twice a month) since. The pain is horrific and now I'm swelling again. I had to have all of this done because my uterus was the size of a 6 month pregnancy and my lining was extremly thick. I have always had heavy and irreagluar periods with lots of pain. I just wanted to know if anyone else has had this procedure with the same results??? Plus I have tried bc's also but those didn't work either. I waited 2 years to make sure it had failed and i'm terrified they won't do the hyster even though I have tried everything. I won't give up on the hyster but I'm afraid they will make me try some other torture and I really don't think I can handle that......any help would be GREAT!!!!

I also need a bladder tack (what ever that is) can they do that at the same time?

i had an abllation also and pain has been worst sence i had it aug 2006 and now today i am schedualed for a total abdomal hystretectomy in june i bleed almost all the time if not bleeding im spotting plus i have major pain and my doc said this is the last resort to resolve my pain as i tryied also taking a bunch of meds persribed from my old obgyn didnt help at all .... now happy but also cant wait to get this over and done with its been way to long i hope this info helps you somewhat and you get the answers you want.... good luck and stay possitive there is a bucket of gold at the end of the rainbow i can almost see it . get second opinions for sure

The Dr. that done the novasure said that if it didn't work then the hysterectomy would be my last option but she is no longer a dr. here she had to move to cali 2 months after the surgery. I really didn't want to go back to her anyway because 1 week after I called her with a 103 degree temp she blew me off and sent me to another doctor that was in her practice. I am one of those people that when I get frustrated and go in 5 or 6 times for the same issue with no help I just give up it seems all they want to do is throw pills a me and hope I go away. Now I have an appt. with a Dr. that has a great rep and seems caring I guess I'll find out friday if I will have my pot of gold

I go tomorrow morning and find out if I can be helped. I'm terrified that this neverending pain won't stop and yet another Dr. will tell me "It can't be that bad" I am so down right now my poor dog is stressing this depression is getting worse by the month and I am truly at the very end of my rope. I just wanted to vent a little and I may be back to vent if I can't sleep I know i'm whining and having a pity party and i'm sorry I am really not usually like this

you know i am begining to hate doctors period,the male doctors have no clue what we go through everymonth ,they never had a cycle and never will lol, you need to be your own advocate,and demand for further treatment and more test. i always trusted doctors,not anymore,just because they have a licence does not mean there good,and always know what they are doing.they are human.so you need to be more demanding its your body,and you know it better than anyone else.i believe you and always here for support.all of us are at the end of our ropes or we would not be on this site looking for help answers and support. so vent away.i feel for you.good luck

hello,hope you are feeling better.i had the ablation 4 yrs ago,for massive bleeding and fibroids in side,well it did not work,the pain never went away,it did lighten my cycle a little,and shorten some,well i am back to square one,horriable pain,spotting,massive bleeding,just had a ultrasound done,and nurse called with results.and said there were cysts about 2mm.well the next day my doctor called and said nurse gave me someone elses results.wow really,just a minor mistake lol.anyway i have 2 fibriods sitting outside on top of my uteres one is 5mm and the other is 4mm.my lining is 10.my bladder dropped.she is aganist a hysto,but she said its my choice,and it is consuming my life.so i guess i have alot to think about.i wont go through anymore torture,or go on birth controll,cancer runs in the family.im so ready for something im just not sure what that something is.good luck.

I finally got results after seeing a male Dr. I had 2 failed ablations, and tried bc's. However it took the depression to get really bad and me finally telling the Dr I could see why people do stupid things the pain was unreal and the constant bleeding was truly driving me over the end.

I sincerely hope that it doesn't take you having to get to that point before a Dr will help you out.
