Feeling Frisky

I'm almost 4 weeks post op and feeling very "frisky", my boyfriend is very adamant about waiting until the Dr says it's ok. I still have some pain on my left side, but not so bad that I have to take pain meds. I've tried to convince him that it's ok as long as he's gentle, still a no go....... LOL. Should I be worried that he doesn't find me attractive anymore, or is he just being cautious?

Re: Feeling Frisky

You really shouldn't do anything until you are cleared by your surgeon. Sounds to me you have a great guy that just wants you to be healthy and do things the right way. He's very much attracted to you, just concerned for you. If you aren't healed enough for that kind off activity. That can create some problems.

Re: Feeling Frisky

Please listen to MywayMytime. Do not have intercourse or any arousing activity until your doctors clears you. I agree that it sounds like your boyfriend cares about you enough to tell you no. You could cause some serious damage that could send you to the ER or even have to have another surgery if you don't wait until the doctor gives the go ahead. Here are some articles that you might want to read that can help:

Libido surge

outercourse

the wait

You should call your doctor first thing on Monday and ask specifically what you are allowed to do at this point. Some doctors want complete pelvic rest for 6-8 weeks, meaning no orgasms or outercourse. Others say it is ok so long as nothing enters the vagina or anus, and no oral sex. Don't just give it a try. Some sisters have jumped the gun and ended up with the cuff failing and having to wait another 2 months. in there. Time will pass.

Re: Feeling Frisky

Sounds like you have a GREAT guy! Hang on to him. You can heal in 6 weeks or do it wrong-and it take a year. 2 more weeks-hang in there.

Re: Feeling Frisky

Hi is looking out for your health, you really do not need a setback, then you have to wait even longer, be careful. I know it's hard but worth it in the long run. Take care.

Re: Feeling Frisky

Wait my dear! Its not worth the risk! My Dr cleared me to "fool around" & "be creative" at 4 weeks but no nookie for another 4 weeks!! Sigh the risks are not worth it!
