13 Day's Post-Op

Hello Sister's,
I am 13 day's post-op. No more gas! Bowel movements are daily and normal! Energy level is through the roof! I walk a mile everyday, slow! No sex til the second week of August. My doctor has released me to go back to work on 7-21-2011. I never took any narcotic drugs, not to pat myself on the back, but I do think I healed a lot quicker without it.
Good luck to all!

Re: 13 Day's Post-Op

HI!
We are on the same road to recovery. I too had the LSH however I kept both ovaries as there were no issues going on there. I feel like a whole different person now that the diseased part is out! I admit that I did take the pain meds for as long as I needed as I have lived with the pain for so long, that I did not want to experience any part of it in my recovery. I go to the doctor for my follow up on the 19th & I am pretty sure he will release me to go back to work on the 21st also. I am concerned though about how easily I get tired as I normally work 11 hr days. Hopefully doc will say reduced hours for a week or two to avoid any fatigue while still healing. I have been taking slow walks also and a few times I even made it to the treadmill. I hope to continue building on my strength as I have lots of weight to lose. I feel that I will now have the energy and motivation to make a real go of it. Best wishes in your continued recovery.
Robin
