LAVH Feeling bad and hurting again!

Had to have silver nitrate on vaginal cuff yesterday. Spent most of yesterday lying around. Today did some things around the house and some work on the laptop but nothing major. Now feeling achey, feverish, and having swelly belly, abdominal discomfort and some rectal pain? Need to know is this normal after the silver nitrate treatments or do I need to call my doc tomorrow?

I'm sorry you are still hurting and feeling bad. I have read that the silver nitrate can be painful. Hope you are feeling better today.

I've had it several times now and none of those symptoms. It may sting a bit as the dr puts it on and you may cramp after because of the pelvic exam but that should be all.

Sorry, not trying to freak you out. Keep a close eye on the fever and if it goes 100.5 or higher you need to call it in to the dr.

Im sry to hear of your discomfort. I havent had this done but I am only 10 days postop. What are silver nitrate treatments for? How is it done? I have read many having this but dont understand the reason or application?
