Unexpected cytocele procedure and "goose egg" on incision site?

I had the Di Vinci procedure (left ovaries & uterus) and a rectocele repair.
My uterus had enlarged and tipped (pretty much prolapsed, but too big to fall down) and proceeded to trap the urine in my bladder. Testing revealed my bladder control and capacity are fantastic.
My uterus was so enlarged, they had to use a morcellator to remove it (yes, I am aware of the cancer concerns and I did not have fibroids).
The incision on the right hand side has a hard knot under the skin. It is large, very firm and egg shaped. It also bruised the most. I wonder if this was where the morcellator was inserted.
Has anyone else had this happen?
Additionally, it appears I also had some cytocele work done. I have stitching on both the front and back of the vaginal wall. The doctor never discussed this with me and it wasn't mentioned afterwards.
"Oh by the way Red, we tucked a little more then planned"
My concern is how this may effect sex.
I have my first follow up next Thursday and plan to address these issues......however I wondered if "bonus surgery" has happened to anyone else.
Otherwise, I feel amazing, pain is almost non existent and bladder is now flowing freely. I had been super vigilant about keeping my stools soft, and it's working although the gas is terrible and painful.
This website continues to be an excellent source of information and support.
Thanks ladies.

Unexpected cytocele procedure and "goose egg" on incision site?

Hi Red
I had almost identical problems as you and very similar surgery, although mine was all done vaginally. The surgeon want expecting things to be so bad and said that I have effectively had 3 surgeries.
My op was on the 6th so I'm a little ahead of you in recovery. It has been pretty smooth although swellybelly arrived at 2 weeks and I now feel more tender as the stitches are dissolving.
I'm like a hedgehog below and also worry about sex later, particularly with the cuff and all that it's now supporting.
My post op isn't until the 8th so I'd be really grateful to hear how you get on.
I should add that I had anterior/posterior repair vaginal/laparascopic surgery 11 years ago and I was full of adhesions. So I'm trying to balance walking but not overdoing it in the house as I recover -and I will be asking about how careful I need to be in the future.
Good luck with your recovery.
