Abdominal pain and gas

I have LAVH two weeks ago. Everything went well in the first week. But starting from the second week, I have very frequent abdominal cramps, followed by passing gas. This happens particularly frequent at night when I go to bed and lie down. It will continue for almost two hours, disturbing my quality of sleep. Is this normal? Will it pass away by itself or should I discuss it with my doctor?

Abdominal pain and gas

tulpen,

From what I experienced it is normal. Aside from having the LAVH I have also had several other abdominal surgeries. Same thing happened then.

Watch what you are eating, try to steer clear of the gassy foods. Also, I took gas-x. You might check with your and see if you can take it.

I hope you get some relief soon.

Abdominal pain and gas

The gas has been my biggest issue. So I would say it is normal. I still have to watch what I eat & still take gas-x almost every day.

Abdominal pain and gas

tulpen.

Mine just started about two days ago. I couldn't sleep last night for the gas pains, and it percolates around in there so much it hurts, bad.

I couldn't decide if it's because of my surgery, or because of all the vitamins I am taking....GasX didn't touch it for me

Let me know if you find something that works, as I am in major pain here too.

ETA I just did a bunch of research online, and vitamins can cause gas/diarrhea/bloating. I have been taking mine on an empty stomach. I guess the iron in my vitamins can cause it, along with vitamin C. I have been loading up on C! And it's apparently notorious for causing gas/diarrhea. Great.

I read a lot about "Swelly Belly" from this web-site. Is it the same kind of things as I am having?
