What I learned and you will, too

WOW! I really needed those encouraging words! We are still trying to figure out why I have a burning sensation in pelvic area, pain and bloating. I went for C.T. scan, sono, and colonoscopy. They put me on DETROL and ZELNORM. I am feeling a little better but after reading this post I think I'll just ride out the year and pray for a happy and painfree anniversary. Thanks MARLENE

Runningshoe

Your words bring me peace of mind and encouragement. And as you so eloquently stated…….…….what’s the rush?

Thank you.

Runningshoe...

What a lovely post.

Are you a professional writer? If not, maybe you should consider it.

Thank you Runningshoe
I've always known there would be light at the end of the tunnel, but some days, I just don't know.
I hope I feel the same as you at my 1 year hysterversary.

My dear Runningshoe,

Thank you so much for that beautiful post. It's always encouraging to hear what life is like further down the line.
A big thank you too to all those hystersisters who have voiced their encouragement and advise to those of us who are fairly new to this time in our lives.

In love and light,

Siobhán

What I learned and you will, too

I'm 7 weeks post op and back at work, first day back was monday. Thank you so much for the post. I'm beginning to feel a little back to normal. The surgical menopause slapped me good in the face. Been on estrace for 2 1/2 weeks and it made a difference. I no longer cry at stupid commercials! This is a time for us to reflect and take it easy. I give thanks every day for this site, you have helped me through alot. We sometimes forget that we have just had major surgery (TAH/BSO 9/20/05), and that it is okay to take it easy. Coming back to work is the most difficult thing I have done in years. Of course Monday I tried to do too much and have been paying for it all week. Swelly belly has returned big time. Again thanks for the post.

Your replies are so welcome! For those of you dealing with swelling belly: don't expect it to go away soon and then one day you will notice that it is fading away....Your body has to heal big time. Your hormones have to adjust and that is also a factor. I was on lupron and so my body realed from bouncing back after that as well. Buy some nice stretching pants and just wait. Put your feet up several times a day and especially avoid standing in the kitchen making all those holiday meals!!

Runningshoe, you did commemorate your day nicely, by helping us newbies out. Again, I thank you for taking time out to make each of us feel better no matter where we are in our own personal journey to better health.
