Where do they connect ovaries after hyst?

Hello:

I have a weird question, but one nobody has answered for me. I am having a LSH on 11/10 and plan to keep my tubes and ovaries. My question is, how are the tubes and ovaries "anchored" after they are severed from your uterus? What do they connect them to? How do they get their blood supply?

Each ovary has a ligament that attaches to the pelvis. Those are left and I believe the tubes that remain are then tied together somehow to have a sort of clothesline effect of keeping the ovaries and tubes in place after the uterus is removed. The ovaries are also attached with the peritoneum which is a membrane that covers or attaches to all the organs of the abdomen.

The ovaries are supplied by the abdominal aorta.

I too asked my doctor about this, I was afraid my ovaries would just be floating around down there afterwards.
