Pain just doesnt go away!

I see my Dr again tomorrow and we will set a date for my hyster. This pain is just so bad! It gets worse when I lie down, it hurts to lay on my sides and so I flip to my back then the pain radiates there too. My Dr started me out on motrin 800, doesnt touch it, then celebrex, still doesnt touch it. I feel like I am having labor contractions, and a lot of pulling and stabbing feelings... I have constant cramps, and then I go through hours of severe pain.

Anyone else experience this, and what helped the pain. I have used a heating pad, sat in the shower with hot running water on me, tylenol inbetween, the celebrex. I dont know how much more I can take....

Pain just doesnt go away!

(((Tasha71))),
I'm sorry to hear your experiencing so much pain Have you gotten a diagnosis? I had Adenomyosis which caused me a great deal of cramping & stabbing type pains *sigh* others here describe various conditions with similar symptoms and/or pain like that also
There is some great info available in our Resources Directory on the various conditions that can cause pelvic pain, here is the link:

https://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/link.php?s=

Good Luck I do hope you can find some answers & relief soon! In the meantime, I would suggest putting a call in to your Drs office & explain how severe the pain is, despite the use of the meds he prescribed...perhaps there is something else that can help!!

Pls keep us posted...(((hugs)))

Pain just doesnt go away!

Hi Tasha..

It still probably won't touch it.. but I hear that Bextra (the new generation of Celebrex I believe) is supposed to be better with cramping.. might ask the doctor for some samples.

Good luck..

Pain just doesnt go away!

Oh, wow, that sounds just _miserable_! :-(

I've been having steady pain since the end of my period (insofar as my periods end these days.... I just keep spotting!), and it's been worse at night. My doctor prescribed percocet, which has helped. I take one at 9 or 9:30, and then another one when it wears off, usually between 2 and 3 AM. Unfortunately, I can't take it in the daytime, because it makes me too sleepy to function, but at least I get _some_ sleep at night!

Maybe your doctor can find something stronger for you?

Pain just doesnt go away!

I tried Bextra, but it gave me horrible "trots" (which I also get during my period anyway, so this just made it more vivid). I don't know if it's one of the major side effects, but it really did a number on my gastrointestinal tract.

In fact, after the Bextra disaster, that's when I got fed up with my family doc and went to a specialist.....maybe it was a good thing after all.
