hurt myself sitting to long? Really?

I had a TVH on June 16. I have been feeling better than I ever thought. Bored at times, but up and moving around. Light cleaning, small grocery shopping with my two boys as my helpers, laundry (no lifting- again kids helping out) or DH doing everything.

Since I have been bored, I decided to register for two on line classes to finish my masters. I guess I sat to long and now I am in pain. My bottom (front and back) have a pulling and throbbing sensation. It hurts to sit and stand. So now I am laying on the couch and working on the lap top. I can not believe the set back. I am so frustrated. I have rested for two days. I hope to get back to where I was.

I registered for classes because I felt I was not doing enough. I am not one to sit around. The dust bunnies are getting to me. My DH and 2 sons have been wonderful, beyond words can describe.....but I am going stir crazy. I don't go back to work until the middle of Aug so I am trying to hang in there and rest.

So word of caution- don't sit for hours on end. Sitting is NOT resting! Take it easy ladies and lay down and rest.

Hi md2, I'm sorry to hear you had a set back. It is really hard to not do anything for so long! I'm concerned about that myself. Thanks for the words of caution, we all need to remember to look at the big picture and let our bodies heal.

I had vaginal hyst 3 weeks ago. I sat too long also and boy is that a mistake!! I am still hurting, not as bad but wish I would have known I shouldn't be sitting! I was torn really bad as my uterus was enlarged and also a large fibroid. Oh my gosh...never experienced such pain downstairs! Also have been having issues with my hair falling out! I can't stand to lose much as my hair is thin due to thyroid issues! Anyone else having these issues? HOpe you continue to heal well and as I know its hard to sit around and do nothing but we must let our bodies continue to heal!
