6 week post-op

I had my 6 week check today and I must say that I am feeling better than I have in many, many years I am glad that I had my surgeries and think I will be feeling well for a long time. My iron is in normal range. The Dr. said I was healing well but he did put Nitrate on some internal sutures. It did burn a little but nothing compared to the other discomfort. The Dr. also said to wait a couple more weeks for sex with my husband. He also said no lifting for 3 months! I was surprised by the lifting restriction. Just wanted to share with those who are just a little ways after surgery that it does get better

I had my 6 week appointment today as well. Absolutely NO restrictions and he (the surgeon) even gave me a further 6 weeks off!!(due to the physical nature of my job). I feel great and am really glad that I had this surgery!
big hugs and many thanks to all my sisters!

I am so happy to hear about your progress. I too am entering my 6 week post op. I go in on Monday. I feel wonderful with the exception of some energy lows. My husband is getting excited about my returning back to the better then usual woman... Just wanted to tell all you sister out there, the power of positive thinking is the best medicine....
