Stitch sticking out of my belly button

I had a LAVH on February 26 with a bladdersling and they nicked my bladder. The suprapubic cather came out 2 weeks ago and my incisions are almost healed, however, I have a stitch sticking out of my belly button. Does this dissovle as well. Does anyone else have this? It is driving me crazy.

Stitch sticking out of my belly button

If you can be patient, it will eventually dissolve. I had part of a stitch with the knot sticking out and with the knot being thicker, it took awhile to dissolve. Just try to keep it clean and dry. I have put a little tension on it and snipped it as well (when I had my gall bladder removed) , if unsure you can always ask your doctor.

Stitch sticking out of my belly button

When I had my appendix out laproscopically 15 months ago, dr. told me that the ends of a stitch might surface and would probably dissolve by itself. Had one that didn't so he took it out during my two-week follow up. I would call your dr if the area is red, hot or oozing, though, just to be sure.
