Two weeks post-op

Almost two weeks post-op and still have staples because not healing yet. Also was put on Iron pills because bp is 70/30 and very light headed. The new problem is bm are very painful even though I am taking milk of masmum(SP). Has anyone else had this.

Keep ovaries, found tumor on top of uterus and stage 4 endo, with must of it around the vagina.

Iron pills can make you constipated - it's a major side effect of them. Pain medications can also make cause constipated. Doctor told me to drink lots of water. Walking helps but don't overdo that. Ask your doctor about a stool softener. I planning a party when I take my last iron pill. Hope you feel better soon.

I don't know. I was taking the iron before the surgery due to blood loss and lack of iron. My fingernails were splitting & curving, lots of irritabiliy, really low iron count (like 5 instead of 15 or so), fatigued. My doctor promised that I could stop taking it after my 6 week appointment if my iron stays up.
