Belly tenderness

Hi - I had a TAH on 3-6 (kept ovaries). I have been experiencing belly tenderness around the incision. It is mostly above the incision and feels like it is bruised, but there is no discoloration. Could this just be bruised internally? I am at that 3 week set-back mark and I have been doing more. Could this be the reason for the soreness? Also, the numbness is subsiding so I don't know if that is why I feel the soreness. Any thoughts. Thanks.

Belly tenderness

I'm on week 5 and the area above incision is still somewhat sore. I never had even one bruise above but it feels like the soreness is definately coming from inside radiating to the outer skin. I can touch the area now but for the first 3 weeks not able to touch at all. Directly around the incision is still numb and my doctor said that numbness can last for months or even be permenant.

hope this answers your question somewhat, also when I over do my activities, the sensitive bits still flare up a bit for sure.

have a good healing day,

Belly tenderness

I had my post op and have the same tenderness. My doc said it's the knots where they tie off your stitches internally. I have a lump on one side and not the other. She said it take a lot longer for them to dissolve.
