Re: foul smell
First of all, welcome to the other side!
It wouldn't hurt to give your doctors office a call to ask about the foul odor, they may want you to come in to check things out to rule out an infection. I would start by giving them a phone call to give yourself peace of mind.
Take care

Re: foul smell
TY! It says on the home sheet to expect a slightly foul smell when stiches start to dissolve. But my husband says it is so bad he considered sleeping on the couch. But I want a woman's opinion not my husband who thinks his farts are no big deal.....😀

Re: 4 weeks post hysterectomy: foul smell and drainage
I had a foul smell and a little itching. I went to the doctor and she said it was normal. I passed the stitches this week.

Re: 4 weeks post hysterectomy: foul smell and drainage
It is normal to have increased or different odor as we heal and the stitches dissolve. A foul odor should always be reported to your doctor, as it could be a sign of infection.
There was a woman here a while ago who said her DH kicked her out of bed because of the odor... So in comparison it's pretty good that your DH is offering to go there himself instead of sending you!
Here is an article on this: Vaginal Odor
