I can understand how you feel. My mother is still alive but lives in another state. It would be wonderful to have the support from a parent in this situation. My surgery is scheduled for Jan 16th. So, although i cannot give you any advice on the recooperating process, i can share in your feelings/questions/concerns/fears/. You didn't mention if you were having a vaginal hysterectomy or an abdominal? That will determine what the initials will be. I am having a Total Vaginal Hysterectomy (TVH) i am keeping my ovaries. I am very nervous and concerned about the healing process.
