Re: Ovary Question

Hi Trish, your recovery will depend alot on the type of surgery you have. Do you now what kind of surgery you will be having? It took me 6 weeks to physically recover from my BSO and I had a laprotomy. If you have it laproscopically your recovery should be less time considering you have no complications. Best wishes and
Carol

Re: Ovary Question

(((wolfie)))

Each women will have a different recovery as (((Carol))) mentioned earlier. It can depend on if you have a laparoscopy or laparotomy. Hopefully if you are facing surgery to have an ovary removed, yours can be done with a laparoscopy and you can recovery quickly!

Rule of thumb is about 4-6 weeks but it will depend on you, your surgeon, the reason for your surgery, etc. etc. etc.

Wishing you well!
