Anyone else have leg cramps 3 months post hysterectomy?

Since surgery I have been having bad leg cramps and horrible lower back pain along with nerve pain sporadically all over but mostly in my feet. I have had an ultra sound done to rule out blood clots. I also went to the ER and they checked for an electrolyte balance and released me and said it was just leg cramps. After being cleared by my doctor I started walking 3-6 miles a day 3-5 days a week and started dieting. I have gained weight verses losing weight and my leg cramps wake me up most of the time. Has anyone else experienced this?

Have you talked to your GP about the leg cramps and weight gain? Did you work with your doctor about the dietary changes you have made? Sometimes making too many dietary changes all at once can backfire as it is too drastic for our system.

For leg cramps, my GP advises bananas to increase potassium. Are you drinking enough water? I can have leg cramps if I am dehydrated a bit. Have you been checked for restless leg syndrome or maybe thyroid issues?
