Almost four weeks post hysterectomy and bruising feeling.

Hello sisters, I'm just mildly concerned, I don't know if this is normal or something I should be concerned about.

Above my naval about an inch it feels really bruised, internally. I can really feel it whenever I get up and it's been getting worse for the past two or three days. There isn't any bruising on the outside. Is this normal? Does anyone know what this could be?

Thanks

Re: Almost four weeks post and bruising feeling

Hey, I'm 4 weeks post TAH/BSO and I feel bruised internally to my left side. And also lower down near my groin on both sides. I'm assuming it's all part of the healing process as we have had major surgery. I don't know if anyone else can share any other reasons for us. Take care xx

Re: Almost four weeks post hysterectomy and bruising feeling.

I had same exact feeling! Had TLH done just over four weeks ago. My bruised feeling was just below and to the side of my navel. Felt like you would think something had struck me very hard, and again no discoloration on the outside. I used ice packs off and on for a couple days, third day and it had gone away.

Re: Almost four weeks post hysterectomy and bruising feeling.

Thanks for getting back to me. I started icing it tonight, hopefully that will do the trick asap. Actually the pain is getting worse, it now feels like it's on fire as well as the bruising. So discouraging because I thought I was over the hump but now I'm dealing with this...
