Bleeding after sweeping?

I am 13 days post op and felt good for past three days so I cleaned a bit. I swept two rooms and now I am bleeding. I haven't even spotted once after surgery.
So I take it no light sweeping? The dog hair looked like tumbleweeds and was driving me nuts

I would say definitely lay off the sweeping, especially if it prompted bleeding. I forgot myself in week 2 and did some light sweeping and vacuuming with a lightweight Shark vac and didn't see blood, but definitely felt a lot more pain for a few days afterward. The dog hair was getting to me, too! I know it's hard to ignore it, but try to give yourself at least another week or two. Good luck!

I agree. Doing any kind of housework can easily overstrain your abdominals. Anything that involves pulling, twisting, bending or stretching has to be out for right now. You need to rest your muscles. It is too easy to overdo it and end up with a big problem.

I walked 1 1/2 and now. im bleeding, not real heavy but enough to say i did too much.
