Having hysterectomy today 9/27

I have mine at 8am central today. My husband works nights and when I woke up this morning, he was drunk and then got angry when the hospital called and wanted to take a payment for my co-pay. He kept saying..."why is it so much" to the poor lady on the phone and giving me dirty looks. He's such an *** when he drinks...we make plenty of money, I make 4 times our monthly bills and not sure why he's freaking out....then he started crying and said he felt bad but he was worried about the surgery and wouldn't know what to do without me if something happened. I tried to explain to him that is a routine surgery and I trusted my doctor and the hospital to take good care of me. I am actually looking forward to my medical vacation...he thought I was crazy but I wasn't going to let him stress me out.

I told him to get some sleep and I needed him to be there for me tomorrow. He finally passed out and slept it off. I woke him up after 7 hours with a glass of water. While he was out, I did some grocery shopping, laundry, and got a pedicure. I called my friends and made plans for Thanksgiving.

I feel bad for him but then again, I think he's a total selfish jerk for doing this the day that I'm supposed to be relaxing and spending time with him and our granddaughters. He could have spent most of it with me instead of what ended up happening. However, I have set up other family and friends to help him and support me better. I'm very lucky to have my daughter (25) and sister-in-law very near me as well as several close friends.
