New princess home from the castle

I had my TAH/BSO Wednesday morning and came home early Saturday afternoon. I would've been home Fridday but I had a slight fever and stayed another night. I wanted to post this in the pre-op section to give some encouragement to the ladies in waiting. My whole hospital experience was very positive. Everything was much, much easier than I had imagined. The pain has been less than I expected and it has been well managed. The nursing staff was terrific. I was back in my room by 1PM Wednesday and sitting up by 6 PM. I walked in the hallway with assistance by 1 AM. I'm a nurse but had never been on the other end and just wanted to assure those of you who are waiting that this whole thing is definitely do-able. I'm following the doctors' orders to a T and I'm feeling well. So far, I would have to agree with many of the other princesses who have posted and say that waiting is the worst part. Hang in there ladies in waiting. You can do this!
