Won't Be Having TAH After All !!

I can be taken off the May 2nd list!! At my pre-op today, my surgeon wanted to go over the other options with me since he was my second opinion and we hadn't really discussed them in depth. He thought I was set on a TAH and wanted to know why. I told him it seemed like the most logical choice to me since my GYN had said that an ablation probably wouldn't help much. My surgeon told me that he can remove the tumor on the inside and then do the ablation and we can see if that works. If not, then in the fall I can go ahead with the TAH. I'm ecstatic!! If we would have had this discussion three weeks ago, I wouldn't have had to spend that time in agony waiting for my surgery date to come around. So, next Friday he'll do this instead. My mom will be here for my surgery, it's out patient with about 5 days recovery. I like the sound of that!

Well, not like I'm one of the princesses or anything, but it looks like you can always be a (little) Sister. Good luck with everything!!

Wow, that sounds like wonderful news to me. I'll be praying that it works and you can avoid the hyst all together.
