don't laugh, but I have a ?

I had a cup of tea and some toast at 7.30am. I was told I could drink clear liquids up to 11am, which I did. I had my last glass of water just before 11am, and I went down for my surgery at 2pm. Maybe it is different here in the uk. I wouldn't get too distressd about swallowing a tiny amount of water.

It's ok to brush your teeth the morning of surgury. Be careful not to swallow any water and things should be just fine.
Good luck with your surgury.

If I woke up to a house on fire I would stop to brush my teeth first. So yes, I brushed my teeth the morning of the surgery. Just don't swallow anything.
