wHAT IS A BLADDER SLING?I need to know tonight. surg tomorrow
O.K. I see alot of this thing called a bladder sling. I'm sorry but I do not know what it is can someone tell tonigt? Because my surgery is tomorrow so I won't be able to look at this tomorrow and see what the reply is. PLEASE?!

A bladder sling is used to support a bladder that has prolapsed. It can be mesh or some Drs use the patients fascia / muscle to support the bladder.
Not everyone has a bladder sling, if you are having a hysterectomy only than your surgeon will / should provide some additional support for your bladder. This is done when the woman already has a prolapsed bladder and they are getting it back in place.
If you were having this procedure your Dr. should have discussed it with you.
