Update and Belated Happy Turkey Day!

Hi sisters!

I haven't been here much. I am sorry I didn't make it over to wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving, so I hope you will accept my belated wishes.

I am happy to report that I am recovering very well at this point in time.

My peroxide dilemma really brought me down, emotionally and physically and I felt like I was just whining way too much. You were all so supportive and helpful and it means the world to me. Thank you so much. I just needed to take some "me" time and deal with my issues.

I had to make a trip to the ER last Saturday night due to excessive bleeding and drainage from my incision. They ran cultures etc. and there was and is NO infection which was great news of course.

I had the remaining 10 staples removed Wednesday afternoon, and although my DR was a little snotty with me, I waddled out with my chin up.

I wasnt feeling up to making the hour trip to my sister's for Thanksgiving dinner, but DH and DS threw together a nice little dinner at home for us. It was most enjoyable and very heartwarming.

I am feeling much better. I'm still very sore, but everything is healing well and my mood is back where it should be.

I am suffering with awful swelly belly when I walk too far, or try to do anything the least bit strenuous, but overall Im feeling good.

I do hope you all enjoyed a warm Thanksgiving amoungst those you love.

Update and Belated Happy Turkey Day!

Hi Ru
I'm glad everything is beginning to go better for you. That's great news that there is no infection. I hope things will continue to heal smoothly.
You are still very early in your recovery, so don't lose heart with the swelly belly and lack of energy. At two weeks I honestly was doing nothing but taking care of myself. It took all my energy just to shower and keep my teeth brushed.
I'm glad you had a nice Thanksgiving.

's, Rita
