Pain on stomach above the scar?

Hi everyone,
Is anyone still having any pain on their stomach above the scar? My stomach still feels a bit tender, like having a bruise just under my skin when I press and still having pain on right side of scar from time to time. A bit like and ache sort of..hard to explain. Hopefully it will all be gone when i see my gynae for my check up on the 24th. Having a bit of a down day today and feeling a tad tired, not sure if thats cause I have no ovaries and my hormones a playing up...will ask at check up.
Thanks Nicola

Pain on stomach above the scar?

I had pains here and there for quite a while. REALLY takes time to heal. I am 3 1/2 months post op now. I am doing great. Hang in there and keep taking it easy. Don't overdo it, even though it has been a little while for you. There is so much healing to do.

Yes, ask at your check up. List your questions and write down the answers. I was surprised at how long it took for the pains to go away.

I still can't do sit ups, but I will try again soon. I am not in a rush. I can work hard in my yard again! Go slowly and you will feel great in no time.

Pain on stomach above the scar?

Nicola...
Yes your post explained exactly how I'm feeling too. Especially these past couple of days. I had a TAH/BSO on Aug. 14. So, I'm sore above my incision and to my right side...just like you are experiencing. Overall, I've been feeling so much better, but been feeling a little down the past couple of days as I've been hurting more. Hang in there!!!
Hugs!
Ruth

Pain on stomach above the scar?

Yes Nicola, I am still having the same pain as you, however, mine is worse on the left hand side. Belly is still really swollen, especially by the end of the day.

Pain on stomach above the scar?

Hi virgo5,
I still get that achy pain especially when I do too much. Remember you have lots of layers under your skin that have incisions. Right under your skin is your muscle layer which has it's own incision and stiches. It too is healing and will especially be sore as you increase your activity. When I feel achy it is my sign that my muscles are sore and they need a bit of a rest. I still rest often and put my feet up. Wishing you patience and energy as you continue to heal.

Pain on stomach above the scar?

Good morning. I too can agree with the blah feeling today. I was feeling so good a few days ago and yesterday and today I could just crawl into bed and sleep for hours and hours. I have had some complications with my incision opening so it has been being packed 2x daily. Yesterday it was so sore. I guess I had just hoped I would be feeling better by now. I am just getting tired of not being able to do anything including driving......
Take care all.
