Scar Cream

I know this might not belong on this board, but I'm going for a TAH in August and am wondering what cream people have had luck with for their incisions. I realize I'm going to have a scar and no I'm not freaking out about it, but I do know from previous surgeries that the area itches and the tissue can get thick and red and inflamed. I'm wondering what kind of cream people have used that helped with these issues aside from antibiotic cream. Thanks for all the wonderful ideas.

I used Coco Butter on my incision (when it was OK'd by the doctor). It comes in a stick and worked quite well for me. I also used Vitamin E oil (straight from the capsule). However, remember not to rub anything on your incision unil Ok'd by your physician.

I have never used anything on my scars, they are what they are.

When mine itched or burned while healing i used an ice pack to soothe it.

this time around I might try some coco butter or vit e.
