mammogram before lavh

i have a mammogram booked for june 24 first one. i was just cleaning thing up on my should do list. didn't think it had any thing to do with my hysterectomy. lavh for prolapse on aug 6 am i wrong to do it before.

I would absolutely do it before your surgery. I did and had benign lumpectomy 5 weeks post op. If I hadn't had my mammogram before my hysterectomy, might not have went for it.

It is never wrong to have a mammogram. I would rather get it taken care of before, than after.

I had my mammography a couple weeks before my surgery. One less thing to worry about later.

dr. just called I have to go for another mammogram. they found a small denser spot behind my right nipple. dr. said not to worry we would get to the bottom of this before my surgery, but i'm worried.

I know it is scary to have to go back and get re-tested but it is almost always an issue with the film...a shadow or a smudge. Try not to worry too much. I am sure it will turn out fine. (((HUGS)))

I had my mammogram done in May. I had to go for a second mammogram and also an ultrasound. It turned out to be a lesion and not a lump. So I go back in six months for follow up. I know it can be very scary to deal with that. (((hugs))))

Over the years I have back been called many times for rechecks. All will be okay.

thank for the support. so much for just get something off my to do list. I was going to go to the dentist and eye doctor before I go for surgery. I think it can wait. I hope it's not the c word my family has had enough for a while. lost my dog of 16 years and my dad to it last year. thanks for listening , it's hard to see the keys when your crying.
