Acid build up (sour stomach)

Hello ladies, it's been a minute, and let me tell you, NO MORE PERIODS, is the bomb!!! I'm about 90 days post-op and noticed here recently if I DON'T EAT EVERY 3 HOURS, I get this acidic feeling in my stomach, that goes away IMMEDIATELY after I eat or drink something.... I don't really remember having this issue before the surgery, ain't it funny how we blame EVERYTHING on the surgery, LOL... Let me know if anyone else have experience this issue, will DEFINITELY see my PCP if this thing persists...

Blessings

Re: Acid build up (sour stomach)

Yes get checked could be ulcer. I had something like this the entire first week awful burning type pain. Didn't really go away with eating. But after the second week it went away. Lots of gas x ironically helped it but I already had GERD.

Re: Acid build up (sour stomach)

I think I had something similar to this on the first 3 or four weeks- I felt uncomfortable, bloated, and with almost constant nausea. This all went away with ginger ale and healthy bowel habits, which took about three weeks to normalize.
Even though it always should be checked out by a doctor, I think the swelling and crowding, combined with the traumatized bowel (due to anesthesia and then constipation) and possibly hormone change (if ovaries go, or even if they don't) all contribute to this feeling.
For me, prunes for the bms. tums for the acid and ginger ale for the nausea (the real thing, not those ginger ales that are artificial) helped immensely.
