Lazy bladder after hysterectomy

Surgery 25 June. Long 7 hours . Home on Friday with Foley catheter. Any one else out there with a lazy bladder going back Monday to have it checked hope to have it out,thought it would be a pain to work with but not so much just hard to get co for table

Hi Bettyann. I have had to self cath off and on since my surgery on the 19th. Because I don't have a foley I have been able to try to go on my own each time and then finish up with the cath if I was unsuccessful. At first I was worried about having to do this, but it turns out that it wasn't so bad. My bladder is now working great on its own so I think it just takes a bit for them to relax and get going. I bet yours will be fine soon. I hope you are doing well in your recovery.

I had one from the 23 until yesterday. I did have some issues but im doing fine now.
