Spotting post -op 15 days

Is this normal? I'm spotting this morning. It's not red, it's a pale pinkish color. I have no other side effects as far as this. I'm only alarmed because I haven't spotted at all except for the day after surgery and even that was minimal. I haven't even worn a pad since day 4 post-op. I've read about stitches dissolving at 3-4 weeks post op, but I'm only 2 weeks post-op and I don't see any little stitches coming with the spotting. I've been more crampy the past two days too. I feel pulling in my belly button incision (all four of my belly incisions are healing great though) and I feel pulling in my vagina, but only on the right side. I guess I should mention my sciatica is giving me grief as of yesterday and maybe the pulling is all stemming from that. I don't know.

Can anyone advise?

Thanks,

Melissa

Melissa,

I spotted after the surgery and then again randomly for about a month. Like yours, it was never BRIGHT red and there was never a lot of it. I noticed it more so on days that I did a lot. I wore a panty liner for probably about 2 months just to be on the safe side.

Could you call the docs office and run it by the nurse? At least that would put your mind at ease.

Thanks so much, I feel better. I was just shocked because I haven't bled up to this point. Too good to be true, I guess

I started spotting on day 16 and it continued for three and a half weeks. For some of us, it is the reaction to stitches dissolving.
